How Kredly uses transfer and exchange-rate data

Kredly brings together third-party market data, publicly available provider information and observed transfer-pricing data to make international money transfers easier to compare.

We organise available quotes into a consistent format that may include the amount sent, stated transfer fee, provider exchange rate, estimated recipient payout, payment method and delivery estimate. This allows different providers to be compared using the same criteria.

The mid-market exchange rate is shown as an informational reference point. It helps illustrate how a provider’s exchange rate may affect the final amount received, but it is not a transfer quote and does not include provider fees.

Kredly does not process transfers or set provider prices. Rates, fees, availability and delivery estimates can change, so always confirm the final quote and terms directly with the provider before sending money.

02

Rates and transfer quotes change over time

Exchange rates and international transfer prices can change throughout the day. Provider availability, fees, delivery estimates and recipient payouts may also vary depending on the amount, payment method and destination. Where available, Kredly displays when rate or transfer information was last observed.

Comparisons should be treated as indicative snapshots rather than guaranteed prices.

If the information required for a comparison is unavailable, Kredly may show a limited result or mark the data as unavailable. We do not replace missing financial data with demonstration rates or invented transfer quotes. Before completing a transfer, review the latest exchange rate, fee, recipient payout and delivery estimate on the provider’s website.

Independent comparisons with transparent limitations

Kredly is an independent comparison and information service. We are not a bank, money transfer provider, payment institution, broker or financial adviser, and we do not hold or transfer customer money. Transfer offers are ranked using the final amount expected to reach the recipient, based on the pricing information available to us. A provider offering a low or zero visible fee may not rank first if another provider delivers a higher recipient payout after the exchange rate is taken into account.

Kredly may receive compensation when a user follows a provider link. Commercial relationships do not determine the order of comparison results. Sponsored placements, if introduced, will be clearly identified and kept separate from organic rankings. Our comparison does not cover every provider or every transfer option available in the market. “Best” refers to the best available result among the offers Kredly tracks for the selected amount and destination.

How Kredly compares money transfer offers

Kredly compares international transfer offers using the amount expected to reach the recipient as the primary ranking measure.

For each available quote, we consider:

  1. 1. Transfer fee — the visible charge included in the available quote.

  2. 2. Provider exchange rate — the rate used to convert the sender’s currency into the recipient’s currency.

  3. 3. Exchange-rate markup — the difference between the provider exchange rate and the reference mid-market rate, where it can be calculated.

  4. 4. Recipient payout — the estimated amount delivered after the stated fee and provider exchange rate are applied.

  5. 5. Delivery estimate — the available indication of how long the transfer may take.

Offers are normally ordered by the highest recipient payout. Delivery speed, payment methods, provider availability and other conditions are shown separately so users can choose the option that best fits their needs.

Missing fees or exchange-rate markup are not treated as zero unless the available data explicitly states that they are zero. Delivery dates and estimates are displayed according to the information provided and are not converted into unsupported promises.
